A summer country road in South Australia curving into the distance at sunset.

At my church this Lent and Easter, we're focussing on the theme of walking the road with Jesus. Each week, we'll explore a different type of road, e.g. the long and winding road, the road less travelled, the rocky road, the narrow road, and even the yellow brick road.

At Home Weekly Lenten & Easter Reflection Cards

Drawing on suggestions from the congregation, here is some Lent & Easter worship resources including a set of Lent & Easter worship cards to reflect upon throughout the season. There is one for each week in Lent plus key dates during Holy Week.

Each card features:

  • Sub-theme title on one side, e.g. long and winding road.

  • Reverse side:

o   Bible verse

o   Reflection question

o   Prayer for you

o   Prayer point for others.

Download reflection cards below. They're designed to be printed double-sided.

Additional activities:

Picture of Road: You may wish to invite members of your community to draw or paint a road at the beginning of the season, and then give each household a copy to be used as a reflection aid at home to complement the cards.

Mini-cairn: Invite members to build a cairn at home by balancing a few small stones, one on top of the other. The cairn symbolises Jesus, our waymarker, helping us return to the path when we're lost.
